- Who is the intended audience?
- The potential clients of the website are those living in Portland or those that will be visiting Portland.
- What opportunity, problem or issue did you hear the client wants to address?
- The client wants a professional website design that highlights that they are the best tour company in the city, with 33 years of experience, that provides a more complete tour experience compaired to their competitors.
- What does the client want the site visitors to do?
- They would like for customers to contact them, fill out a contact form, search for information about their tours, and book a tour.
- Local Competitors?
- Portland Walking Tours provides a wider variety of tours that highlights what makes Portland so unique in so many ways, with an underground sub-culture tour, a food cart tour, and even a wine, beer and chocolate tour. Their website however could use some design updates. The site appears to be cluttered with information on the home page and lacks a choesive theme, which could draw the viewers eye and keep them on the site longer. I would recommend incorporating a beautiful theme with a navagation bar to section the content better and a nice logo that reflects the companies name.
- Brewvana provides tours catered to a particular audience - beer lovers! They offer weekly tours, private tours, and tasting tours. Their website is very well designed and uses a beautiful theme that is easy on the eyes for viewing and the content on the page is organized well. The only negative I could say about Brewvana is that they limit their business to a certain audience of customers with the type of tours they offer. An area of opportunity would be, maybe they could offer cider's tour that vary in age groups so more demographics could attend.
